Vallet Scholarship Announcement Supporting Excellent Students in Study and Research

  1. Scholarship Value:  VND 32,000,000 per award.
  2. Eligibility and Selection Criteria

2.1. Eligible Candidates

The scholarship is available to full-time undergraduates in Cohorts 47–49 from the Departments of Mathematics–Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Information Technology. Applicants must not have received any other scholarships during the year (In cases where a student has already been awarded a scholarship, the name and amount of the scholarship must be clearly stated).

2.2. Selection Criteria

Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above across official academic semesters.

Note: GPA for scholarship consideration will be calculated based on: Cumulative GPA from Semesters I and II of the 2023–2024 academic year; Cumulative GPA from Semester I of the 2024–2025 academic year. This applies to both academic programs that follow a two-semester or three-semester structure per year. Summer semesters (for two-semester programs) and Semester III (for three-semester programs) will not be included in the evaluation.

Priority Consideration:

Applicants with the following achievements will receive priority consideration:

  • Possession of valid foreign language certificates
  • Published research in the fields of Natural Sciences, Engineering, or Technology since 2024, featured in journals indexed by Web of Science, SCOPUS, or recognized domestic journals accredited by Councils for Professor Title in Specialty and Interdisciplinary.

 

  1. Required Documents

Instructions: All application materials and supporting documents must be arranged in the specified order and compiled into a single PDF file. The file must be named using the following format: Full Name – University Abbreviation. Example: Nguyen Van A – SP (where SP refers to Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Vietnamese).

1/ Completed scholarship application form (attached file);

2/ Academic transcript issued by the Office of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance;

3/ Digital copies of research publications (including the cover page, first page, and last page of each article) that have not previously been used to successfully apply for this scholarship (if any);

4/Proof of the two highest-level awards received (if any);

5/ Copy of valid foreign language certificates (if any);

6/ Proof of participation in one community or social activity (if any);

7/ Copy of both sides of Citizen ID Card;

8/ Copy of Student ID card.

Applicants are required to submit two complete digital application packages through the following links, in accordance with the regulations of the Vallet Scholarship Fund.

Online application period: May 27 – June 10, 2025;

Evaluation period: June 12 – July 31, 2025;

All submitted information will be reviewed by the university’s relevant offices for accuracy;

Note: Providing false or misleading information will result in the following consequences: (1) Notification to university authorities; (2) Permanent disqualification from future Vallet Scholarship consideration, (3) Direct contact for an interview if deemed necessary.

  1. Announcement of Results

Scholarship results will be sent to the University and to students’ official email addresses provided by the institution, expected by mid-August 2025.
